The concept of the designed space was inspired by Frances Hodgson's novel The Secret Garden. The aim of the design was to create a place where people can bring back memories and open to the new ones, especially on exceptional occasions like weddings.

The area of the secret garden was divided into 4 different functions intended for the site. The main structure of the garden is the canopy where all the celebrations would take place. The Leaf was created to have a universal and eye-catching but still harmonic and clear construction.

The direct inspiration for the form was the leaf geometry created by nature itself. The final shelter design responds to a hornbeam's leaf and is a scaled and simplified version of its venation map. The Leaf’s core is made from laminated wooden beams that consist of thin layers of pine glued together and pressurized to obtain curved elements.

These structures can be covered with a tensile membrane or with a milky reinforced PCV boards providing additional UV protection. The Leaf has basically a function of a stage area. Floor is divided into 2 levels: 1st - lower for the main ceremony and 2nd - higher, for a host, a guest musician or a signer.

Resting corner for small groups to chat after the ceremony. Clear form of the exterior furniture underlines the contrast between the straight lines of pergola beams and delicacy of metal artwork of the gates.
